MGM Brakes Unveils e-Stroke 1 Commercial Vehicle Brake Safety Training Van
MGM Brakes unveiled their new e-STROKE Commercial Vehicle Brake Safety Training Van at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY, March 26-28.
E-STROKE 1, as the van is known, will provide a highly visible "rolling" billboard focusing attention on one of the transportation industry's most
talked about problems, brakes: brake inspection, brake adjustment, brake maintenance.
Following the show, the van will spend 30 to 45 days or more, depending on the need, with each of MGM's Regional Sales Managers who will schedule appearances for
the van at distributor, dealer and fleet locations: i.e. open houses, trade fairs, training seminars; to promote the features and benefits of the MGM e-STROKE Electronic Brake
Monitoring System, or to conduct Spring Brake Maintenance & Safety Seminars for maintenance and repair personnel.
According to MGM Brakes representatives, "It is a known fact that
while Federal Regulations require the brakes of all air brake equipped vehicles must be inspected prior to operation each and every day, the
industry, as a whole, is lacking in meeting that requirement. It is our hope that those who see the "van" as it travels across the country will
realize there is a solution to this problem and incorporate this proven technology into truck specifications. Major fleets constantly equip
their rigs with the latest in safety and driver comfort technologies in order to attract drivers. e-STROKE should easily fall into that
category, along with ABS, Anti-Roll, Air-Ride Cab Supports, Side-View Cameras, GPS, etc. If the goal is to make the highways safer,
and to bring the drivers home safely every night, then there can be no argument as to the benefit that e-STROKE provides."
